Dr. Gregory Tasian

Pediatric Urologist
Division of Urology
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

Dr. Tasian attended Baylor College of Medicine and is now a practicing pediatric urologist specializing in the surgical and medical management of children with kidney stone disease. His research efforts are focused on clinical trials, comparative effectiveness research, and the clinical epidemiology of kidney stone disease. To Dr. Tasian, the most rewarding aspect about his work is generating and applying knowledge that improves the lives of those with kidney stone disease, particularly for children.

Dr. Tasian has been with the USDRN since 2016. He believes the network’s commitment to finding effective strategies for reducing idiopathic kidney stone recurrence through the PUSH study, the largest clinical trial in kidney stone disease, to be particularly important. He is delighted to collaborate in the first large clinical trial to include adolescents.

When not hard at work, Dr. Tasian enjoys cycling and reading. Fun fact, he ran with the bulls in Pamplona and has ridden stages of the Tour de France (although not with the pros).
