Dr. Reese is a transplant nephrologist and epidemiologist who previously served as a professor of Medicine, Epidemiology, Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on: a) developing effective strategies to increase access to transplantation, b) determining outcomes of health policies on patients with renal disease, and c) testing strategies to improve important health behaviors such as medication adherence. He is the inaugural director of Vanderbilt’s Center for Transplant Science, which aims to bring together cutting-edge immunology, informatics and organ preservation technology to solve the biggest problems facing transplantation.
